With JFK and Timothy Leary, with Julius Caesar at the fall of the Roman Republic, traveling with Yeshua, with Augustus and Antony and Cleopatra like you’ve never known her, at the Salem Witch Trials and at the Roman Inquisition of Giordano Bruno, at the discovery of the Naj Hamadi codices on the Nile, with hippies galore, with Beatles and visionaries and modern day prophets who can only now say finally, I told you so. And meet Bond and Lily who dream dreams.
Back in the 1980s I read I Claudius by Robert Graves and was inspired. But what struck me was that he wrote it in the 1920s and if I did something with that inspiration Robert Graves would never know the effect that stemmed through me from his efforts.
And you hear about these people who find their great grandfather’s journals in the dusty attic of their old family farmhouse in Indiana or someplace.
So I would love your support dear reader, but I really don’t write for fame or fortune. I write for posterity. Maybe someday just the right person will stumble on the work of JC Miller.
I think everybody should write. We all have stories. If we have even some little command of our particular language and if we have or can invent a good narrative voice, all we have to do is sit down at our laptop and begin.
Don’t miss out on the latest book or his entire collection of thought-provoking titles.
JC Miller’s books are more than just entertaining reads—they are profound experiences that challenge your thinking, evoke deep emotions, and leave a lasting impact. Here are the three key qualities that define his work and make it resonate with readers long after they’ve turned the final page
In The New Baby by JC Miller, Anna narrates her journey on the Orient Express with her husband Kurtis to her hometown, Braunau am Inn. Reflecting on her simple upbringing and elite life through marriage, she admires Kurtis, an intellectual studying psychology. Anna reconnects with childhood friends Eszter and Gertrude, discussing marriage, motherhood, and societal challenges faced by women. They also talk about Klara, a local woman trapped in an unhappy marriage to her older cousin, Alois. The story explores relationships, societal norms, and early psychological ideas, hinting at the impact of upbringing on human behavior.
On some stories I know exactly how I’m going to begin and exactly how I’m going to end.
When I am not writing I am thinking about what I’m writing. Except when I’m not thinking at all.
When I get from start to finish the real fun begins. Many goings over with a finer and finer toothed comb. Additions. Subtractions. Proofreads. Proofreads and Corrections. And still I can miss a capital E at events at Chenoboskion

And it may by a miracle, the grace of God, karma, cause and effect, a ball in play that is yet beyond our ken or just by dumb ass luck usher us into a wonderful new era in the time our kind has remaining on this tiny spinning blue marble.
